HE Sen. Prof Ike Ekweremadu CFR storm Udenu LGA to inspect a dilapidated/scary gully erosion site at Ogwu-Obollo Afor amidst jubilation, as the affected community community seeks intervention/help. 24TH EDITION OF "CHRISTMAS WITH THE WIDOWS" It was joy and excitement as my wife and I were joined by friends and associates in hosting widows drawn from all the 17 Local Government Areas of Enugu State. It was the 24th edition as this has been our family tradition since I was first elected into public office as the pioneer Council Chairmen of Aninri LGA in 1997.  It gives us inestimable joy celebrating Christmas with the widows, seeing smile on their faces and watching them depart with the reassurance that there is still hope. A VISIT TO ENUGU CORRECTIONAL FACILITY I visited the Enugu correctional facility of the Nigeria Correctional Service earlier today along with the Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Toby Okechukwu and Member representing Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency, Hon. Dennis Oguerinwa Amadi. We were received by the Controller of Corrections, Enugu State and his team. I had the opportunity to interact, counsel, and pray with some of the inmates. I paid the fines of 8 inmates, who have been there for long because they had nobody to assist them. So, they can now regain their freedoms and also rejoin their families a d friends this Christmas. I also undertook to do a water project at the facility starting from next week to improve the living conditions of the inmates.
