The Association of Medical Sales Representatives (AMSE), Enugu State Chapter, on 6th December, etched its name in gold through a richly coordinated programme that blended humanitarian service, professional unity, physical wellness, and leadership celebration. The day long activities reflected the association’s evolving identity as not only a professional body but also a socially responsible organization deeply committed to the well being of society.

With charity outreach visitation to the Maternity Ward of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Teaching Hospita on 12th December . In an atmosphere filled with empathy and purpose, members of the association reached out to vulnerable patients, particularly nursing mothers who were burdened with outstanding medical bills. In a remarkable demonstration of compassion, the association settled hospital bills for several patients, bringing instant relief,  and emotional comfort to families at a most delicate stage of life. This gesture underscored AMSE  Enugu’s firm belief that access to healthcare should be supported with empathy and timely intervention.

Beyond the financial support, the visitation was marked by words of encouragement to patients and hospital staff, reinforcing the association’s solidarity with frontline healthcare providers. The outreach further highlighted the association’s readiness to complement government and institutional efforts in strengthening healthcare delivery across the state.

Following the outreach, attention shifted to member wellness and bonding, as the association embarked on a nature inspired hike at Ugwu Onyama. Surrounded by the serenity of nature, the hike served as a platform to promote physical fitness, mental rejuvenation, and team spirit among members. It also provided an opportunity for reflection, stress relief, and deeper interpersonal connections in an informal and refreshing setting.

The day’s engagements continued with an elegant dinner party, where members relaxed, networked, and celebrated the collective achievements of the association. The dinner provided a convivial atmosphere for strategic conversations, strengthening professional relationships and reinforcing the shared vision of the association.

Adding a vibrant sporting dimension to the celebrations was the third Maiden Football Match organized by the association. The match symbolized unity, discipline, and healthy competition, while also emphasizing the importance of balancing professional demands with recreation and physical well being. Cheers from members and supporters further energized the event, making it a memorable highlight of the day.

A further highlight of the occasion was the presentation of the Award of Excellence in Recognition of Strategic Leadership to the President of the Association of Medical Sales Representatives, Enugu State Chapter, Comrade Benjamin Asogwa  The honour was a well deserved acknowledgment of his visionary leadership style, strategic thinking, and  commitment to the growth, unity, and relevance of the association. Under his stewardship, the association has witnessed renewed cohesion, purposeful engagement, and an expanded focus on corporate social responsibility. His inclusive approach to leadership, ability to inspire collective action, and dedication to professionalism have continued to earn him respect within and beyond the medical sales community, positioning AMSE Enugu as a model of effective leadership and service-driven impact.

The event was proudly anchored under the patronage of Mazi Chidi Okonkwo, Managing Director of Donaville Pharmacy Limited, whose mentorship, guidance, and steadfast support continue to inspire the association. His presence and goodwill further lent prestige to the occasion and reinforced the synergy between industry leadership and professional associations.

In all, the activities of 6th and 12th  December stood as a compelling day  to the Association of Medical Sales Representatives, Enugu State Chapter, as a body driven by compassion, excellence, and purpose. Through charity, wellness initiatives, sports, and leadership recognition, AMSE Enugu once again affirmed its commitment to making meaningful impact within the healthcare sector and in the wider society it serves.
