HRH Z. I. Babangida Mourns Senator Okey Ezea, Extends Condolences to His Family and the Entire Enugu North Senatorial Zone
The Hausa Traditional Council of Enugu North Senatorial Zone, under the distinguished leadership of HRH Z. I. Babangida, Sarki Hausa Udenu LGA, mourns with deep sorrow the passing of Senator Okey Ezea, a statesman whose service, humility, and dedication left an indelible impact on the people of Enugu North and beyond.
In a heartfelt condolence statement, HRH Babangida described the late Senator as “a courageous voice, a compassionate leader, and a man whose commitment to justice, equity, and development inspired respect across ethnic and religious lines.”
He further noted that Senator Ezea’s contributions to public service, community empowerment, and national development will remain a lasting legacy that future generations will continue to learn from.
HRH Babangida extends his deepest sympathies to the Ezea family, the people of Igbo-Eze North and Igbo-Eze South, and the entire Enugu North Senatorial Zone, urging everyone to draw strength from the remarkable life Senator Okey Ezea lived and from the unity he always promoted.
He calls on the community to honor the memory of the late Senator by upholding peace, supporting one another, and continuing the pursuit of progress and harmony within the zone.
“Senator Okey Ezea’s departure is a painful loss, but his legacy will continue to shine as a guiding light for leadership and service,” HRH Babangida stated.
He prays that Almighty God grants the soul of the distinguished Senator eternal rest and gives his family and constituents the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
