'I Don't See Any Reason Why Mbah, Ezugwu Wouldn't Return For Second Term'- Sen. Utazi 

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and Former Senator Enugu North Senatorial District, Chuka Utazi has thrown his weight behind the second term aspirations of Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Executive Governor of Enugu State and Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu, Executive Chairman of Uzo Uwani LGA of Enugu State. 

Sen Utazi stated this during a well-attended reception organized in honour of the Honourable commissioner for Agriculture and Agro Industrialization, Enugu State, Hon. Patrick Nwabueze Ubru at the PPSMB Hall Enugu on Sunday, August 3,2025.

The former Lawmaker also called for unity, peace and harmonious co-existence among politicians and public officials in Uzo Uwani LGA, while emphasizing that "God Almighty is the giver of power."

"I am glad we are here to celebrate God's grace upon one of our best hands and academic who is doing wonderfully well as commissioner for Agriculture."

"This is what it should be. I want us as politicians and public officials to have peace among ourselves, work together and support whoever God has given us as our leader. 

"Take for instance, in the case of our Governor, He has done very well and still doing greater things across the state. Look at the smart schools, look at the type two hospitals, and he as assured he would do the umulokpa -Onubuogbo road. Just look at other numerous achievements of the governor. 

"And coming to Uzo Uwani, our Council Chairman is doing incredibly well, especially in handling insecurity and other aspects of governance. I am not holding brief for the governor, but I don't think there is anything stopping him and Barr.  Ezugwu from serving their second terms in office."

Quoting from the scripture, while highlighting the importance of peace among politicians, the former Senator cited Psalms  133:1 which says: "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"

Those in attendance during the event include the Executive chairman of Uzo-uwani Local government Area, Hon.Barr.Chijioke Ezugwu, deputy Chairman of Uzo-uwani LGA, Lady Mrs.Vera Ezeugwu, the host, Honourable commissioner of Agriculture , Hon.Patrick Ubru, Immediate past chairman of Uzo-uwani LGA, Hon.Chukwudi Nnadozie, former care taker chairman of Uzo-uwani LGA, Chief Richard Egwuma, Member Enugu LG Service Commission,Dr.Barth Ezugwu,PDP Chairman in Uzo-uwani LGA, Hon.Kingsley Tochukwu Ani, former PDP Chairman in Uzo-uwani LGA, Hon.Jude Okonkwo, Member PDP National Ex offio, Hon.Nneka Okoro, PDP LG Woman leader,Hon.Njideka Okonkwo among other top government officials.
