Engr Jude Asogwa Chinedu of Nsukka LGA Hosts Enugu First Lady in Grand Style
The Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area, Engr. Jude Chinedu Asogwa, KSJI, played host to the wife of the Enugu State Governor, Her Excellency Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah. The First Lady of the state, who was on a familiarization visit to the senatorial zone, was warmly received by the chairman, alongside other council chairmen in the zone, their chairpersons, traditional rulers, business men and women, industrialist, political office holders, academia, party faithful, and general people from the zone.
In his opening remark, Engr. Jude Chinedu Asogwa, KSJI, expressed joy to the First Lady on the visit, as he thanked the Governor for the myriads of projects he is executing in the 102 wards of Enugu North Senatorial Zone (Nsukka Zone) and Nsukka Local Government in particular. "Nsukka zone is the highest beneficiary of His Excellency's ward-by-ward project execution, as it stands to benefit from 102 smart schools and Type 2 health center initiatives of the Governor and Nsukka LGA specially benefiting the Nsukka Central Bus Terminal amongst other notable projects," he said, as he conveyed the total support of the Nsukka people to the Governor and specially thanked the First Lady for her immense services she renders to the young children and women of the state through her NGO, Custos Care. The chairman pledged to replicate the Governor's "Tomorrow is Here" leadership ideology by executing at least one project per community as an ambassador of Tomorrow Is Here.
Speaking on behalf of the chairpersons of Enugu North Senatorial Zone to welcome the First Lady is the wife of the chairman of Nsukka local government, Mrs. Asogwa Stephanie, who thanked the wife of the Governor for all she does in the state, quietly imitating her husband in ensuring the delivery of good leadership to the people of the state and women in particular. Notable in her speech was the expression of joy to the First Lady for the various help and support she has rendered to various women of Nsukka Local Government Area, like Mrs. Chinonso Loveth Echegi, who were once victims of crime against women.
The First Lady thanked the chairman and the entire zone for the warm welcome and pledged more support for women, children, and youths of the state through her office.
The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of agricultural produce from the Local Government Area, like Ose Nsukka and honey, alongside other notable gifts to Her Excellency.
