COURT HEARING UPDATE: 

AS PROF. EYISI ADANMA WAS ARRAINED IN COURT TODAY...

In a dramatic turn of events, a landlady in Enugu was arraigned in court today, facing charges related to allegations of harassment and intimidation of tenant. The hearing, which took place earlier today, saw the landlady plead not guilty to the charges brought against her.

As the court proceedings unfolded, it became clear that the landlady's  actions had caused significant distress and anxiety for the tenant involved.  The prosecution presented evidence of a pattern of behavior that included verbal abuse, threats,Illegal entry and attempts to illegally evict the tenant unlawfully .

As expected,  the State, as represented by the Commissioner of Police arrained Prof Eyisi Adanma Sabina today in Enugu East Magisterial District of Enugu state on a three count charges of; Conspiracy , House Breaking ,and  Assault occassioning harm.  She pleaded not guilty to the criminal charge. 
Her attorney rose and  applied for her bail on the grounds that the offense are bailable and the prosecutor didn't oppose it,  but rather advocated for accelerated hearing which the court accepted and granted her bail in the sum of one hundred thousand naira (100,000) only and a surety in like sum who must be a civil servant of grade level 14 and above.

The defense, on the other hand, argued that the landlady was simply trying to protect her property and enforce the terms of the lease. However, the judge remained unconvinced, citing concerns about the landlady's  behavior and the potential harm it could cause to the tenant.

The case has sparked widespread concern among tenant rights advocates, who argue that the landlady's  actions are part of a broader pattern of abuse and exploitation. "This case highlights the need for stronger protections for tenants and greater accountability for landlords who engage in abusive behavior," said one advocate.

The Accused  Prof .Eyisi Adanma who sat in total regret and penury as she was waiting to perfect the bail condition issued by the court . The hearing has been adjourned until April 23rd For further hearing , when the court will hear further evidence and testimony.
