Senator Okechukwu Ezea why have you been  voiceless on  the recent Nigeria Police Force  brutality  that led to the death of Mr. Nnaemeka Ugwu?

The same man is from your senatorial zone  and your nonchalant altitude on the issue is truly inexcusable. As a Senator of the good  people of Enugu North senatorial zone at the red chamber , it is your duty to speak out against injustice and protect the rights of your constituents just like Hon. Dennis Agbo did last week. 

It is crystal clear your inaction is a conspicuous reminder of the lack of accountability and transparency that have plagued Enugu North senatorial zone since you assumed office. The fact that you have not uttered a word of condemnation or called for an investigation into the incident is a betrayal of the trust placed on you by the people that voted you massively in 2023.

We will continue to say this, that the death of Mr. Nnaemeka Ugwu at the hands of this brutal police officer is a tragedy that should not be swept under the carpet for any reason .As a senator, you have the power to demand justice or push for an amendment that would prevent such incidents from happening again. Your silence is not only a disservice to the family of the victim but also to the entire people of Enugu north that you represent at the upper chamber. 

We appeal that you  take prompt action and speak out against police brutality. Demand an investigation into the incident, and push for solution that would hold law enforcement agencies accountable for their inhuman actions. Remember that anything less than this would be an abandonment of your duty as a senator and a betrayal of the trust placed in you by the people.

The good people of Enugu North Senatorial Zone deserves better treatment.
