It is with great joy and effervescent gratitude that the good people of my Constituency, Nsukka East watched and witnessed the Groundbreaking ceremony for the dualisation of the Abakpa-Nike-Opi-Nsuska Road by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of our dear state, Barr Dr Peter Ndubisi Mbah on Monday
The Flag-off ceremony at the Ancient Opi Junction, witnessed unprecedented crowed from Enugu North Senatorial District, Enugu State and indeed Nigeria who converged to see that the what seemed like a dream, has become a reality.
Your Excellency, your innovative and pragmatic leadership, and the economic will to embark on the dualisation of the 43.7km road is a testament of what you promised the people and you have distinguished yourself, again, in keeping to your promise to the good people of Enugu State and Nsuka Zone in particular.
As a true leader who have come sincerely to serve the people, you have established the fact that there is a difference between politics and leadership.
The dualisation of the Abakpa-Nike-Opi-Nsuska Road is very strategic in not only opening up the economic frontiers of the state but will make our dear state the destination hub for investors. This is attested to by your unprecedented Infrastructural network in the state. Access roads are key indicators to economic rejuvenation
This singular record you have achieved in this regard has etched your name in the history book of Ndị Nsukka and humanity forever.
As a people, Your Excellency, we make bold, to once again, declare our unalloyed loyalty and support to you. You can assuredly count on the goodwill of our people who have demonstrated that the outcome of the 2023 election in the region was a mistake.
Let me also thank all our party stalwarts, the leadership of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Nsukka Zone for the unity of purpose and determination to see this event come true.
We are grateful to his Excellency, the Enugu State Government and the Enugu State House of Assembly for the quick actions taken to ensure the passage and approval resources of the dualisation of the road in the 2024 budget.
This development, marks a new vista of economic, agricultural opportunities for our people and will greatly checkmate the nefarious activities of hoodlums who capitalise on the single lane to lay ambush and kidnap people.
Your commitment to providing effective security in Enugu State is further justified, therefore, by this Groundbreaking ceremony in Opi on Monday.
