Federal University of Agriculture Mpu bill undergoes public hearing.

The stage was lit yesterday as the bill seeking to establish the Federal University Mpu was read in public plenary.

The sponsor of the bill and the former Deputy Senate President,Senator Ike Ekweremadu emphasized that the bill became necessary in order to harness the agricultural  potentials inherent in Aninri,he added that it was also good that a University springs in Enugu West as Equity is equality.

In his remarks,the Deputy  Minority  leader in the House of Representative, Hon Toby Okechukwu reiterated that Education is the bedrock of every society and as such there was need to maximise the benefits inherent in it.

The member representing Enugu North in the Senate, Senator Chuka Utazi stated that he was in full support of the bill.

He thanked the former Deputy Senate President for the esterblishment of the Polythecnic at Ohodo,which was his brain child which the people of Enugu North are benefiting,and pledged his commitment to the to the university coming into fruition.

Nkpunato-Nkpologu Autonomous Community  in Uzo-uwani LGA is in crisis and in complete dilemma as the Ministry of Local government Rural Development and chieftaincy Affairs headed by Hon Deacon Okey Ogbodo arbitrarily recognized  Candidates without Elections.  News media agency confirmed this ugly incident on Monday through the outgoing President General, Chief Barr A.A Onyeji.
