The true meaning of the Methodist Prelate Message/Advise to our Peace loving Governor devoid of propaganda.

The Methodist Church of Nigeria Prelate, His Eminence, Dr. Samuel Chukwuemeka Kanu Uche, has advised Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, to ensure that the governorship position continues to rotate among the three senatorial districts of the state, namely Enugu East, Enugu West and Enugu North, for peace, unity and progress to continue to flourish in the state.


The Supreme Head of the Methodist Church of Nigeria gave the advice when he led the Archbishops, Bishops, other Methodist Clergy and the laity to pray at the Enugu State Government House Chapel, on Friday according to Louis Amoke Governor's media aide, 3rd September 2021.

Above statements was contains in Louis Amoke ( Governor's media aide ) publication on 3rd September 2021, which he credited to the Supreme Head of the Methodist Church of Nigeria.

Whatever they fabricated in that publication can only be taken as propaganda because either you reading this piece or I was there neither did they release any video showing where the Methodist Prelate made the statements until then.

But let's assume the Methodist Prelate stated such, let's then examine his statements devoid of propaganda:

The Methodist Leader as a practicing Christian who knows the true meaning of fairness, equity and justice, without fear or favour advised our peace loving Governor to make sure that power rotates among the three senatorial districts without any atom of injustice.

What is the Injustice?

Injustice is when Enugu East and North Senatorial districts has giving opportunity to produce  Governors ( 3 and 2 ) while Enugu West has produced only 1 Governor.

3-2-1 is an Injustice.

 Igbo proverb says and I quote:

"Ekewe ihe ummuna ka ewepu aghụghọ".

At this juncture, permit me to commend the Methodist Prelate for his sincere advise, it is symbol of a true elder and practicing Christian even though the publishers propagated the Message/Advise in different meaning far from what the Message/Advise truly meant.

In summary, the Methodist Prelate advised our peace loving Governor to ensure that power equitably rotates among the three Senatorial districts in Enugu State for the sake of equity, justice and fairness come 2023.

"I'm glad that this time around they used power rotation and not their non existing zoning, so for the sake of equity, justice and fairness, power should rotate to Enugu West Senatorial Zone come 2023. 

"Umunna nwezuo aku, ilo ana".
