UNN:SUG SPEAKAR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE COMR.UGWU ELIJAH SUSPENDED FOR SWALLOWING OVER #5.3MILLION NAIRA SUG FUND.

Missing: #5.3 Million Naira; Hon. Ugwu Elijah Suspended as the Speaker UNN SUG House of Rep.

The speaker was suspended on four grounds of

allegations which include but not Limited to;  Misappropriation of public funds totalling about Five million, three Hundred and Seventy thousand Naira only (#5,370,000), Abuse of constitutional power by violating Court injunction(Judicial judgements), Disregard for the House  Representatives and Constitutional provisions, and Total Neglect, disobedience, and disregard to the SUG constitution..

From the Press Release addressed to the entire University community, the  House also mandated the suspended speaker to henceforth stop parading himself as the speaker until proven innocent of the allegations.

The house during the sitting with more than fourty Honourable members in attendance also appointed Hon. Osobie Martins  as the acting speaker following the resignation of the Deputy speaker, Hon. Aguenu Emmanuela.

The House assures the entire University community that Proper investigation will commence immediately.
