A PASSIONATE PLIGHT FOR QUICK INTERVENTION DUE TO THE LACK OF ELECTRICITY IN NEW ROAD OBOLLO AFOR

A PASSIONATE PLIGHT FOR QUICK INTERVENTION DUE TO THE LACK OF ELECTRICITY  IN NEW ROAD OBOLLO AFOR.

( Starting from Antho Bridge Petroleum station down to  Ukwu Akpu  close to victory hotel/Entrance to  Iheakpu and some part of  the area within First Bank)

I want to call on  the attention of the Executive Chairman of UDENU LOCAL GOVERNMENT HON.Solomon Izuchukwu Onah regarding the issue of lack of Electricity in major
Parts of Obollo Afor  in Obollo Afor  getting to a year plus  now .

According to Martin Luther King Jnr, "our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter". I would have been reticent on this intractable challenge but could no longer bear the pains in my heart. I know many would come after me because of this piece but, God who created coconut will give it water to drink. The society we found ourselves today is such a type that if you say the truth, you will die and if you don't say the truth, you will still die. So, it's better to tell the truth and die than dying a coward. It's time to voice out, in a bid to proffer panacea to this ugly situation.

It gives me a sleepless night that, over two years plus now, that Particular area in Obollo Afor in Udenu L.G.A. of Enugu state have been in excruciating pains due to absence of electricity in the areas. Area that is  blessed with topnotch Businesses that should enjoy Steady Power supply  are still in darkness.

The essence of government is to do for the people what they might not do for themselves. The onion onus lies with the government or our leaders to provide social amenities for the people. Electricity is more germane amongst other amenities. It is worrisome that the government enjoy the mandates of the people of that area  but have been abandoned to be wallowing in darkness.

What of private individuals? There are affluent men in that  area  who made their cash on their own aside politics that are also big landlords and business Men .

Just to mention but few

1.Owner Obollo Hotel

2.Owner Golden Mirror Hotel

3.Owner Iykco Hotel

4.Owner Okpata Petroleum station.

5.Owner Antho Bridge Petroleum station

6.Owner V3Hotel

7.Owner Peace Park mass Transit.

8.Owner Peoples hotel

9.Owner CCO Petroleum station

10.Owner One day hotel

11.Owners of Obollo Afor live stocks

What have they done about the situation?

I will allow them to answer  these questions.

The beauty of wealth is in its spending for important things. "Aku rue ulo, amara onye kpataraya". The plights of the commoners suffering this should agitate their minds.

To this end, I call on the Executive Chairman of Udenu L.G.A., Hon. Solomon Izuchukwu Onah to with his spirit of altruism just as he did it for the People of Amutenyi/Umurama Community and others,to come to the aid of the these Area  by providing adequate transformers to electrify the areas.

And this will speak volume of his government if achieved. The well-to-do individuals in that area are also highly needed to contribute to achieve this herculean task .

Concerned youth.
