Udenu INEC office almost razed down by fire, Police orders full investigation
Office of the Independence National Electoral Commission located at Obollo Afor, Udenu Local government area of Enugu State was almost razed down by fire which destroyed part of the building.
Sources told at the ground of the scene told an Online based Media Reporter Enugu Journalist that the fire was caused by an “electric power surge as a result of sudden power supply to the building started around 9PM Thursday night.
An eyewitness equally told one of our correspondent on ground that the men of Enugu State fire service arrived on time to quickly contain the fire outbreak before it could escalate to other parts of the building
The scene equally received immediate response from the State Governor, His Excellency, Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Hon. Solomon Izuchukwu Onah and State Firefighters team that arrived the scene immediately.
When the information reached some major Pioneers of a newly Formed Pressure group in Obollo afor called Obollo Afor youths Advocates(OYA) they lamented and started advocating that a fire service post should be built in Obollo Afor being the headquarters of the local government in order to prevent Future Occurance.
