OPEN LETTER TO THE ENUGU STATE PDP EXECUTIVES/STAKEHOLDERS

*OPEN LETTER TO THE ENUGU STATE PDP EXECUTIVES/STAKEHOLDERS*

(part 2).

.....

Greetings once more to whom it may concern. This, I am writing as a follow-up to my first letter, with much concern to the victory of our party, come *2023* in our state and nation at large, as we hope for the gift of life to live and witness the election.

In Enugu state, the issue of where comes the governor has seemed to be the only discussion at hand, with many contributions from different schools of thought. While some believe that there is zoning, others don't believe.

Those who believe that there is zoning, may be considered as uninformed or ignorant fellow hence, there is no prove to what they preach, there's no constitution or documents where it was written in our party, whereas, there are and have been people across the whole state which has been contesting for the governorship both in our party primary and in the general election and if favor found them victorious, they will eventually govern. That's to say that the said zoning is *accidental* as described by a one-time local government chairman, and anybody talking about the zoning but can't state as of *WHERE, WHEN and HOW* it was discussed, is just making a mockery of his/her intellect.

Even an unwritten constitution have back up evidence of witnesses, and people involved in the making of it.

In all these, what should be the stand of our party? Is it to be talking about which area to produce the party flag-bearer, or looking for the person that can win the election for the party, knowing full well that they are other contestants in the poll for the same post?

I am sure that the party's victory in the poll should be more important than where the flag-bearer comes from, having seen all other political parties saying that there is no zoning in the state.

To avoid the impending loss that will fall our party comes *2022/2023* if care is not taking, it's earlier we shift our mind in looking for the best candidate with the majority support, credible and trusted person that will get us victory as a party and and otherwise.

This impending loss, our sister state *Anambra* have seen and openly made their tickets open for all in their November election which made over *15* candidates pick up a nomination form. Can you imagine what would have happened to the party if these people are not allowed?

Apart from the money that the party would have lost, they will also loss their great party men/ women and their followers. As they raised up to *260million* from selling their form.

In this same issue, our *Ebonyi State* counterparts have made it open that their *2022/2023* tickets will be open for all.

It's for the same fair play that our governor *Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi* went to the Ondo to conduct our party primary election for their aspiring governorship contestants and didn't go there to anoint a candidate or talk where the next flag-bearer should come from.

The same mandate His Excellency *Sen Ike Ekweremadu* went and carried in Edo state.

That *PDP* lost in the 2015 presidential election is as the wrong decision of considering the ticket unopposed.

That *Rochas Anayochukwu Okorocha* used *APGA* and defeated the *PDP* in Imo state is because of his credibility and popularity.

That *Engr Dave Umahi* then won the *PDP* governorship tickets is because of the trust people have in him, more than the said governor's anointed candidate.

Let's get it right, come *2022/2023* to avoid losing the party stand in our state. We need a popular, credible, competent, and trustworthy candidate.

Let's not make the mistake. Let all aspirants meet in the party's primary and let the choice of *Sen Ekweremadu* as it stands now, not be negotiated.

In Enugu State, there is never a time that our party's primary election has not been challenged. During the Dr. Chimaroke, Chief Nduka Agu, Barr Peter Okonkwo, Ohamadike, and Chief Anoyo Onwuegbu, all contested.

During the Sullivan I. Chime era, Dr. Okechukwu Itanyi, Dr. Osita Ogbu, Dr. John Nwokeabia, all contested in the primary.

The same thing is applicable during the Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's contest with many other oppositions in different political parties across our state who contested.

Let's get it right, to avoid the possibility of losing the state to another party. We can all see a clear indication of who the people are clamoring on.

*Long live to all*!

*PDP* Power to the people. ☂️
