Grace is the kindness that only God bestows. It's divine and an unmerited favour from God Almighty.
Born on May 12, 1962 into the royal family of HRH, Late Igwe Mathias Ekweremadu, the Okwaa Anekeoji 1 of Mpu Ancient Kingdom, Aninri LGA of Enugu State.
Only an unbiased minds will appreciate that to achieve a sustainable success and stability in life and politics requires a combination of vision, passion, courage, intellect, humility, sagacity, perseverance, godliness and determination. It is the consistent application of the above set of variables that incubates grace which is the summary of virtues.
In 1997 he was elected the Council Chairman of Aninri LGA and won the Best Local Government Chairman Award in Enugu State at the time.
Based on his stellar pedigree and brilliance, he was appointed the Chief of Staff, Government House and later the Secretary to the Government of Enugu State. He ennobled the two offices with remarkable skill, exceptional diligence, elegance and panache.
In 2003, he was elected a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to represent Ndi Enugu West Senatorial District on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), because of his quality representation in Enugu West Senatorial Zone and beyond he was unanimously re-elected in 2007, 2011and 2019 by his people.
In the Red Chamber, he was also elected the Deputy President of the Senate in 2007, 2011 and 2015 he defeated Sen. Ali Ndume of the APC to be reelected as Deputy Senator President from opposition party ( PDP ) .
He was elected the First Deputy Speaker, ECOWAS Parliament in 2007 and Honourable Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament in 2011.
The South East Senate caucus leader is a detribalized patriot whose love, dedication, sacrifice and passion for his Constituents and beyond are legendary. A man who canvasses the centrality of morals in the dynamics of power. An erudite scholar and an accomplished parliamentarian whose incisive contributions in the Senate engender responsibility, nation building and hope.
HE Distinguished Sen Prof. Ike Ekweremmadu quality representation resonates resoundingly with his constituency, he has parlayed his cognate experience into monumental achievements in Enugu West Senatorial Zone and beyond.
He has transformed his constituency beyond the rust and tarnish of even the least charitable. He has converted Enugu West Senatorial Zone into a huge construction site with verifiable Roads Rehabilitation and Construction, Rural Electrification, Solar Lights, Water Supply Schemes ( Enugu West Water 4 All Initiatives ), Health Care Service Delivery, Schools Libraries and Computer Centres, Youth Development Centres, Women Empowerment and Scholarship/Bursary awards to students ( Irrespective of senatorial zone or state ).
No doubt, that Enugu west senatorial zone has continued to grow both in infrastructure and quality human capital development courtesy of the quality representation of HE Distinguished Sen Prof. Ike Ekweremmadu CFR.
As an Ambassador of Christ, Ikeoha Ndi-Igbo has touched uncountable lives positively, a humanitarian par excellence who accommodate everyone irrespective of social status or class.
To his constituents, Ikeoha is simply a God-sent, an enigma, jinx-breaker, visionary, reflective scholar and a soldier of democracy.
To any unbiased observer, Ikeoha’s trajectory is a tribute to courage, service, humility, loyalty, integrity, generosity, resilience, diligence and boldness.
Ikeoha Ndi-Igbo has remained resolute and never fails to stand on what is just and fair, his consistency in his party ( PDP ) and party politics, will make it easy for you to understand that he is in politics to make a difference in the lives of those who put the trust of their ballots on him.
An achiever who understands that when you deploy the right attitude and commitments to the people, your support becomes natural without undue influence or coercion.
Ikeoha Ndi-Igbo is equipped to provide the kind of leadership we needs at any giving time. He has the intellect, temperament, experience, exposure and strong political ideology. He is a nationalist and a detrabalised leader who believes in politics of development and Inclusiveness, equity, justice and rule of law.
