THE SINS OF GBURU GBURUEdited by Hon. Ifeanyi Arthur Edeh.

THE SINS OF GBURU GBURU Edited by Hon. Ifeanyi Arthur Edeh. Aside his outstanding performance in providing good governance dividends to the people of Enugu State. One major aspect it is the state of safety, security of lives and properties in the state, and his distinctive description of wisdom and character in discharging his duties as the governor, which is crystallised with humility, fairness, and all inclusive governance, that the people of Enugu had never witnessed in time past.  For this, they say, he's weak and clueless. In fact, they say he's more like a woman, which some disgruntled elements went as far as putting up several mock portraits that pictured his face in female attire etc. In view of all that has happened, he has remained humbled, and focused!  On May 29, 2015, the good people of Enugu State, friends and well-wishers gathered in large numbers at the popular Michael Okpara, Square, Enugu, to witness the inauguration of a pragmatic leader and true friend of th

#Udenu Accountability Watchdog #A Must read  #3rd Term member Enugu state house of assembly, two time leader of the house, chairman of several committees in the house yet Rt. Hon Ikechukwu Ezugwu seems to have nothing to show for it.  I know someone may jump out to tell me he is giving scholarship, but I won't fail to remind one that even a none political office holder can give scholarships. Of course, Rev. Dr Melitus O. Osai has given scholarships more than anyone else in Nsukka land yet he is not a political office holder. Can anyone show me any constituency project attracted by Hon Ikechukwu Ezugwu ever since he began representing the good people of Udenu? Can anyone show me a functional constituency office where Hon Ezugwu sits on interval bases to interface with the people whose interests he ought to be representing at the house? How many town hall meetings has Hon Ikechukwu been able to hold with Udenu people as whole, not to talk of at ward levels since his first

ENUGU NORTH LEADERS: May It Not Be For You Like Sen.Fidelis Okoro

Image
ENUGU NORTH LEADERS: May It Not Be For You Like Fide Okoro  The not so complimentary reactions trailing the demise of Senator Fidelis Okoro, a three term Senator who represented our Enugu North Senatorial district, were most paradoxical in the ways they were shocking and at the same time not so surprising, to our people. I had to reflect on the things I knew of him and those I just learned and shuddered in utter bewilderment, of it all. And just like the burial homily, my writing is no more for the dead, even though he is the reason, than as it is for the living, who still have ears, eyes and minds to listen, see and reason out their lives, from the current travail of the dead. Of course, there is nothing anyone could ever say in praise or condemnation that matters anymore to Senator Okoro.  So, like Mark Anthony's address to the Romans at the burial of Julius Ceasar, the many pained voices of our people regretting the missed opportunities in Fide Okoro's long years of selfish

THE COST OF COVID-19_By Nnamdi Ezelum

THE COST OF COVID-19 Many thanks to our Health Workers-men and women who have devoted their lives to the task of fighting side by side with other “Soldiers” in arms. The truth is that no truth is forever. There are things inexorably true, so true, so factual that they can be incontrovertibly almost true. One of the more obvious truth is that we are at war with a virus, who by spreading deaths and terror is jeering loudly at its own victory. We do not need to be debriefed that pandemics are deadlier than wars.President Donald Trump was right to compare the virus outbreak to a sneak attack by Japan on December 7, 1941, and Al Qaeda on September 11,2011.And just like in real wartime, our Generals, the world leaders have begun doing what past Commanders have done when war goes badly:Declare victory and go home. This they are doing by resorting to unchecked relaxing of Lockdowns .Yes,we want to be free, but flirting with tragedy in the name of freedom means freedom to die! As it happe

Mr Peter Ekwueme's charity, began at home.

Mr Peter Ekwueme's charity, began at home.   Mr Peter Ekwueme, yesterday ,  at the Imilike Ani Primary School, distributed palliatives  and relief items to 300 families in Imilike Ani Autonomous Community. Mr Peter Ekwueme is the CEO of PETA GENESIS NIG LTD, based  in Anambra State. He is a simple and humble fellow, and has distinguished himself in so many good ways than one. As a social philanthropist, he has committed his service in providing alleviation programs to the needy and those with deformity. As the ravaging Corona Virus pandemic hits harder to the world and her economy, mounting a high economic pressure on the people as a result of the total lockdown, Mr Peter Ekwueme had smoothed the roaring hunger in Imilike Ani Community.  While addressing the beneficiaries,  Mr Peter Ekwueme had stated, that this is the first batch of his widow's might. Believing that, there will be another exercise, sooner or later by God's grace. In response, the beneficiaries

What I have to say by Nnamdi Ezelum writing from New Delhi,India.

WHAT I HAVE TO SAY  In these and other times, the world has always pronounced itself a “warlord”,fighting against “invisible enemies”.The truth is also coming true that the world as at today is stranded, and one would wish that it grows back-not to what it was but instead-towards what we want it to be -a world free of viruses. The world has been caught off guard and the focus is no longer on the future but on how to survive the miserable days of now:we cannot in all fairness emphasise confidence about the future without focusing on the present. I am a Nigerian and in the three months of watching,Nigeria has made a point of publicly showing the world her commitment to ending the spread of Covid-19 pandemic, much to the approbation of the world’s Premier Health Organisation, the World Health Organization(WHO).But the point is:to the extent that the world recognises Nigeria’s efforts to fighting Covid-19 to a grinding halt,it’s still pretty early to do so in a self-congratulatory t

#Post Reaction/Comment from one of our Esteem Follower .George Agbo In Reaction to a publication made few Hours ago regarding the issue of Non Supply of electricity in parts of Amutenyi, Umurama and Umuamoke Communities in Obollo Afor getting to a year plus now. Here is what Bar.George Agbo an Enugu legal Practitioner and also an indigin of Obollo Afor, whose parents reside in one of the affected(Umurama) Community have to say. The situation is very disturbing and worrisome, how can this act of wickedness and negligence be explained or defended by our elected representatives eg:Obollo-Afor ward councillor (a native of Umurama),Executive Chairman of Udenu LGA past & present, House member representing Udenu State constituency in Enugu State House of Assembly, more so His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Enugu State(who incidentally comes from the same Udenu LGA of Enugu State)to mention but a few, one may argue that the generation and distribution of Electricity has b

SOME PART OF AMUTENYI, UMURAMA,UMUAMOKE IN OBOLLO AFOR IN DARKNESS  GETTING TO ONE PLUS. I want to use this  opportunity to empathize with the entire people of  Enugu state over the Pandemic which we are facing currently. The workaholic chairman of UDENU  and his excos have been working tirelessly in  providinv more Palliative for the UDENU people obviously and to maintain a standard welfare of the people as well and is evidently very Commendable.
