The 2019 ENUGU STATE GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATES FORUM (G '19) pays Courtesy/Solidarity visit to HE Sen. Prof Ike Ekweremadu CFR @his Enugu Residence. 


Your Excellency Sir, the Former Deputy Senate President and the Senator representating not only the good people of Enugu West but entire Enugu State and Igbo land, Distinguished Senator. Prof Ike Ekweremadu CFR,  thank you Sir for finding time from your very busy schedule to have this meeting with us (G '19).

Sir, G '19 Governorship Candidates Forum is a political movement that aims to contribute to immensely and decisively to the development and establishment of an integral, civil, democratic, just and potent society in Enugu state and to restore the worth and meaning of public engagement. The goal is to strive for the deepening of popular democracy and the building of the people's power in social, economic and political spheres where collective needs and interests of the people as whole come before any other.


"To achieve all these, we understand the importance of calling upon the citizens through the combination of knowledge production and political struggle, to build a state that would be the guarantor of our fundamental rights, a leader that will be responsive to the essential needs of the people and human dignity. A leader that creates the enabling environment to build prosperity through concrete priorities such as job creation, economic integration, and engagement which will sure set the stage for prosperity".

As the name entails, the group is made up of dedicated and committed candidates in 2019 Governorship election in Enugu State, well refined and equipped for the journey ahead, with structures and allies scattered across the state down to the ward level with the sole aim of reinventing the genuine spirit in political activism in the state towards enthroning a competent leader as the next Governor of the state irrespective of color or region.

Sir, is also our understanding that the purpose they say is perhaps the most powerful force in the universe. And throughout history, people like you with exceptional gifts of right leadership gave accomplished amazing things and created fantastic results through the sheer power of purpose and purpose alone. 

Sir, it is on this note we say that the purpose of this august visit is simple and straight and that is that, we are not only here to ask you to please accept the call by millions of Enugu people to contest the Governorship election come 2023 (because we are 100% sure you will accept the call), we are also here to let you know that we are solidly behind you, we are ready and well prepared for the task.

Your Excellency Sir, it may interest you to know that this call was necessitated after critical evaluation and background check of various individuals jostling fo the Governorship seat in the state come 2023, our findings shows that none of them possess the required proven capabilities and skills to revive Enugu State except you (Ikeoha Ndi-Igbo).

"This is not just a movement for the restoration of the Enugu State to its height but one that will work to make sure that we enthrone the right leadership come 2023,irrespective of the zone or color of the person because we cannot allow mediocre, sentiment and ethnic jingoism to take the place of competence". 

Finally , as we relaunch and activate our various structures and manpower for the full political invasion in what will look like revolutionary movement while strictly abiding to every democratic principles and norms.

Enugu Community in crisis as Ministry of Local government Rural Development and chieftaincy Affairs issued certificates of Return/Recognition to Candidates without Elections. Nkpunato-Nkpologu Autonomous Community  in Uzo-uwani LGA is in crisis and in complete dilemma as the Ministry of Local government Rural Development and chieftaincy Affairs headed by Hon Deacon Okey Ogbodo arbitrarily recognized  Candidates without Elections.  News media agency confirmed this ugly incident on Monday through the outgoing President General, Chief Barr A.A Onyeji.
