Enugu2022/2023: The messiah of our time
No doubt that this great achiever has soared higher on the wings of his uncommon brilliance and acumen to become the Deputy Senate President of Nigeria, Deputy Speaker ECOWAS Parliament, Speaker ECOWAS Parliament, Leader South East Senate Caucus and Africa Chief Coordinator International Parliamentary Congress ( IPC ) etc.
While the forgoing may not be news, especially to those who have been following his story with interest, he is an erudite scholar, humble and brilliant politician with unparalleled love for fellow human beings.
With his daily actions, Ikeoha Global seems to have entered a vow to be committed to the course of humanity, an attitude that makes him unable to stand the sight of his fellow human being in distress or wants.
He is a focused, courageous, competent and experienced leader, an accomplished parliamentarian, a statesman par excellence, a quiet achiever, dependable democrat and a core intellectual in politics.
As Chairman of the Joint steering Committee of the Policy Analysis and Research Project ( PARP ) of the National Assembly (a capacity building project supported by African Capacity Building Foundation ( ACBF ), based in Harare, Zimbabwe Capital ) from 2007, HE Distinguished Sen Prof. Ike Ekweremmadu effectively steered the project to a resounding success that gave birth to a full-fledged National Institute for Legislative Studies (NILS), which he also chaired the Governing Council.
As a Member of the Nigerian Delegation to the ECOWAS Parliament 2003, the First Deputy Speaker of ECOWAS Parliament and subsequently Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, Ikeoha Global has gained wide reputation as a firm believer and courageous defender of democracy.
Decidedly, The Deputy President of the Senate is an accomplished and erudite lawmaker who has fulfills the aspirations and consciousness of his constituents, Ikeoha Global has exited his people from a labyrinth of neglect to a symmetry of infrastructural development
His infrastructural transformation, charity outreach, human capital development and empowerment exploits deserve emulation and celebration, and accomplished legislator who believes in politics of development, unity and selflessness.
As an erudite scholar, HE Distinguished Sen Prof. Ike Ekweremmadu has received honourary doctorate degrees, Doctor of Laws, LLD honoris causa ( University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State ) and his alma mater, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). He has also been decorated with the Dr. Kwame Nkurumah Africa Leadership Award etc.
Even little detractors concede that former Deputy Senate President is the most outstanding among his contemporaries.
As the saying goes, "The reward for good work is more work".
