The Race for who governs Enugu State from 2023 is slowly and quietly gathering momentum in Nkanu Land..
Yesterday the 1st of December 2019, Dr. Lawrence Eze (Prince of Mburumbu) was officially welcomed to the fold of the People's Democratic party PDP by the Leadership Hierarchy of the state. Dr. Lawrence Eze didn't join the PDP alone yesterday, He pulled over 1,000 of His Supporters and loyalists to the PDP. This is a strong signal pointing to His Antecedents and Capacity. Recall that Dr. Lawrence is a Philanthropist and Grassroot Politician, He was the Closest Rival of Senator Chimaroke Nnamani for the Enugu East Senate Election in the 2019 General Election. His Decision to return to the PDP has left minds wondering if it's connected to the 2023 General Elections and the race for who Succeeds Ugwuanyi from Nkanu Land.

On the other hand is a great Leader and an Achiever the Incumbent Speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly R.t Hon. Edward Ubosi (Ozege) who has shown Capacity and Good Leadership over the years, maintaining Peace and Harmony in the Chambers of the Assembly. He is a true son of Nkanu Land and Perhaps His Loyalty to the Governor of Enugu State will be rewarded in 2023..

Enugu Community in crisis as Ministry of Local government Rural Development and chieftaincy Affairs issued certificates of Return/Recognition to Candidates without Elections. Nkpunato-Nkpologu Autonomous Community  in Uzo-uwani LGA is in crisis and in complete dilemma as the Ministry of Local government Rural Development and chieftaincy Affairs headed by Hon Deacon Okey Ogbodo arbitrarily recognized  Candidates without Elections.  News media agency confirmed this ugly incident on Monday through the outgoing President General, Chief Barr A.A Onyeji. He noted that their Town Union elections which was held on Dec 9th ,2023 did not produce winners owing to the crisis that occurred during vote counting in the post of president General.
